Strange but yes nokia recently announced that they're gonna wind up with Microsoft ( oh oo ;-) ) as their OS provider... but according to "big shot dudes" like Eldar Murtazin (who is the editor of mobile-review.com) nokia is gonna cut deals with Google as well.
Hey says that according to his sources Nokia may even start shipping android based phones as early as in 2012 . But sometimes you gotta wonder can all these stories be true... but then again if you think from the Nokia point of view going for the Android OS might "help" destroy some of their pride as well (in my opinion).
Anyway even if they aren't gonna ship android phones still with VM mobile utilities you'll most probably be able to run a lot of android apps via your own mobile OS platform in the near future without a doubt.
