Nokia and Microsoft Joins to Challenge Google Android Market!

Well if you don't know yet android has the second largest mobile phone market (OS actually) and currently ranks slightly below Nokia's Symbian OS. Now this concerns everybody!. So as a way to fighting back this new threat (both google and Apple) Nokia has decided to join the Microsoft.

According to market analysis Nokia has dropped shares as far as 9.8 within the recent past and Microsoft with their Windows 7 Phone seems to make a little comeback so it is quite natural for Nokia to go to Microsoft. "Thanks" to both apple and Google, Nokia smart phone market has dropped staggeringly (from 50.8% to 27.1%) starting with 2007 when Apple decided to release the iPhone.

The Symbian OS is also having issues as well. Last year they "switched" the marketing chief. Now on the other hand Android is growing day by day thanks to features such as cheaper calling plans, thousands of free and premium applications, backed up by the giants in the industry such as HTC, Samsung...

So it will be interesting to see if both Nokia and Microsoft can stand up to the challenge. We'll see...
