Android 3.0 Will Support Both Phones and Tablets says Google

It was first said by the G that the upcoming major Android release called the honeycomb is an optimized OS for Tablets. Don't panic it still is ;-) but the only difference is that it was also told that it'll only support Tablet PC's. But don't know why exactly (maybe after seeing the market expansion or something) but Google executives at the mobile world congress has said that they're gonna include both android phone + Tablet support in the version 3.0.

This makes sense actually. I mean the future lies not in a Tablet or a smart phone but in an embedded solution in my opinion. Something that can act as a Tablet and a smart phone in other words. We're seeing the drift from the manufacture point of view as with dual-core or even the Nvidia's claim of the upcoming world's first quad-core cpu's for instance.

So if you want to keep beating Apple and Nokia (including Microsoft) then a mobile OS that is optimized for "both worlds" can save your *ss as the software provider.
