HTC Desire Z, An Android "Slider" With Solid Performance

HTC Desire Z is a slide type android phone that was announced around November 2010. Few days ago I came up with an article in which I accused them of designing  same looking htc phones (including inspire series) but the rest assured the desire Z look promising.

It has ...

*. 3.7 inch touch sensitive screen with 480x800 resolution with 16M color depths.

*. 800 Mhz CPU scorpion + the 205 Adreno GPU.

*. 512MB or RAM + 1.5GB of internal memory.

*. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G.

*. USB and 3.5 mm stereo jack.

*. 5MP camera with HD video recording + playback (geo tagging, LED flash and face recognizing, etc).

*. Runs the somewhat old android OS the 2.2 Froyo (HTC seems to be going to release an update to the 2.3 soon).

*. The 4 row full "real" keypad (roomy).

So in comparison with the upcoming dua-core processors the Desire Z may seem a bit behind but for its size and price it does pack with some solid (both hardware and software) performance nonetheless.
